As the founder member of New Recruit Consulting, Paola started working in the field of recruitment in 2001 after a successful career as National Sales Manager with Telefunken South Africa, a consumer electronics leader. A former high school Biology and Phys Ed teacher, she soon was attracted into the world of business and crafted a successful sales focused career. Not long after she moved to Cape Town, she took up the role as GM in a well-respected financial labour broking firm in Cape Town and later as GM of an advertising and response management business. New Recruit Consulting was founded on professional practice principles that focus on “all things recruitment” with an emphasis on:

  • Headhunting and vacancy fulfillment (placements)
  • Recruitment skills training programs for Line Managers
  • Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)

Ishrafiel is a 360° versatile recruiter who has 7+ years’ experience in recruitment with extensive experience in recruiting both locally, as well as internationally and has a keen appetite for recruiting across the African continent where has built up a considerable candidate and client network. Further to this, he has also built a solid network in the EMEA regions respectively. He started his career as a Generalist Recruiter, which moulded him into the versatile recruiter he is today and has given him exposure to a host of industries which included FMCG, Telecommunications, IT, Facilities Management, Manufacturing as well as Aviation to name a few. He later developed a specialization across the Engineering, Oil and Gas and Mining industry sectors in both the local as well as international space. He has a deep understanding of all recruitment service offerings to include contingency, RPO solutions as well as contracting.
He has also been involved with internal recruitment where he had successfully led a high performing team to reach business success. This further enabled him to gain a thorough understanding of internal company recruitment processes, policies and procedures. With a completed degree in the Human Resource Management field of study, coupled with Human Resource Generalist experience, he has built a strong passion for working with people from all walks of life, at all levels within the organization as well as assisting organizations place the right people in the right positions.

A recent Organisational Psychology graduate, Nurunisa has a strong passion for people in the workplace. This passion grew through her studies which focused on understanding the needs of both employees and organisations, and how to optimise the performance of both. In her final year of studies, she worked part-time with a national retailer, Exclusive Books. She spent her time there learning the business and adding value to the recruitment strategy and process. She did this by designing and implementing a competency-based interview guide. Nurunisa would like to hone her skills and develop her career to become a global head hunter.
